And what\u2019s even more frustrating is that there is no way to avoid the game crash. The <\/span><b>Windows Security Suite<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> considers the game or its <\/span><b>mods<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as malicious software and therefore quarantines them. In order to fix that, simply add an exclusion in <\/span><b>Windows Defender<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for <\/span><b>Civilization VI: Rise and Fall<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can do that by going to the start menu in <\/span><b>Windows 10<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> | <\/span><b>Settings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> | <\/span><b>Update &amp; Security<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> | <\/span><b>Windows Defender<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on <\/span><b>Add an exclusion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and then navigate to <\/span><b>Civilization VI<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and select it. This will prevent <\/span><b>Windows Defender<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from scanning the game during play.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also disable <\/span><b>Windows Defender<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> altogether if it still doesn\u2019t solves your problem, even though this option isn\u2019t recommended at all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Missing .DLL files<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If there is a file missing in the game folder, replace that by searching for it on <\/span><b>Google<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Usually, <\/span><b>.DLL<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> files are easy to find online. They are often removed by antivirus software because they look malicious.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are not sure which <\/span><b>.DLL<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> files to replace, simply update <\/span><b>DirectX<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and try launching the game.
