From showcasing our adventures to capturing anything we find interesting, photos help preserve them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Considering how essential photos can be, it is always wise to have a back-up of your photos. Trust me, you do not want to take a risk on this at all. What if you forget the password to your Shutterfly account and even your associated email?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The wise thing to do is to backup all your Shutterfly photos by transferring them to Google Photos. In this article, I will guide you on how to do that:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><b>Downloading Photos from Shutterfly<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unfortunately, there is no direct feature or tool that could automatically transfer photos from Shutterfly to Google Drive. So you will first have to download all files from your Shutterfly account. Here\u2019s how you can do so:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><b>Desktop &#8211; My Photos Section<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shutterfly allows users to download full-resolution photographs at no cost. You could either download each picture individually or else, you could select up to 500 photos and perform a batch download on them. In the latter case, you will be able to download them as a zipped file.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First, select all the photos or videos that you wish to download<\/li>\n<li>Hit the Download button that you can see on the action bar located at the page\u2019s top<\/li>\n<li>Soon, you will receive a link via email through which you can download your selected photos as a zipped folder<\/li>\n<li>Once downloaded, you can use a tool like WinZip to extract all the files. Make sure you extract them all to a single folder so that it\u2019s easier to locate them later while uploading to Google Drive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><b>Mobile Applications<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unfortunately, the Shutterfly mobile app does not offer a batch download functionality. So you will have to go through the process of downloading each photo individually. Although downloading photos via mobile apps is convenient, there is a negative aspect to it: they are of only printing quality and not full resolution. Nevertheless, here is how you can download photos:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h4><b>Android<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tap the photograph you wish to download<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tap on the three vertical dots that can be seen on the upper right corner<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hit Download<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h4><b>iPhone<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tap on the photograph you wish to download<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the Share button<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select the Save Image option<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><b>Uploading to Google Photos<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Uploading photographs to Google Photos is quite an easy task. Here are a few simple steps:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/photos.google.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Google Photos<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and log in<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click Upload and choose between Computer and Google Drive<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As you can see, the process might take some time but it is quite straight-forward.
