Since Google Drive is easily compatible with iPhone as well, Apple users do not see why they should not be using it. Furthermore, iPhones in most cases do not feature the capability to store and share large image files and this is where this article comes in. We are going to help you upload Google Photos on your iPhone to Google Drive so that you get a head start, the next time you are confused about the process. Let\u2019s begin.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Step 1<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Begin by downloading Google Drive on your iPhone, if you haven\u2019t already. If you already have the app installed, skip this step. Make sure that your Google Drive app is updated as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 2<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Launch the Google Drive app. Once the app is launched, you will see a multi-colored \u2018+\u2019 icon at the bottom right corner. Tap that icon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 3<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The iPhone will display a range of options to create a new folder, document, sheet and upload new files. Since you intend to upload photos from your iPhone, click on \u2018Upload\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 4<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Browse through the folders on your iPhone and select the folder you like to upload to Google Drive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 5<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once uploaded, Google Drive will provide a \u2018Locate\u2019 link that will direct you straight to the newly uploaded photos. This is an impressive feature, which prevents you from visiting your Google Drive each time and spending quite a bit of time searching for photos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Managing Photos<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google Drive offers only 15 GB of storage for free. However, if you want more storage, you will have to pay for the 30 GB package. With that being said, we are going to share some photo management tips to use your Google Drive space efficiently.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Create Folders<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have plenty of photos to upload, chances are high that your Google Drive will become unorganized sooner or later. This will make it appear cluttered and you will waste sufficient time locating the images you want. Therefore, it is suggested that folders are created so that particular types of photos are stored in their respective folder types. For example, if you have photos related to high school, create a folder titled \u2018High school\u2019 and store all the photos inside the folder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Remove Unnecessary Photos<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have older photos or particularly those you don\u2019t need anymore, you can delete them to free-up your storage.\u00a0 The same goes for your iPhone as well. You will have to delete unnecessary and photos you do not use, to make space for new photos, since the storage space on your device is limited.
