Whenever you try to establish your network connection, your computer shows this error.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why? Read on. This article contains several useful steps for you to get rid of Error 1068.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Modify Registry<\/b><\/h3>\n

Use the <\/span>RegEdit <\/span><\/i>command. Expand the \u201cDHCP\u201d subkey in SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE hivey. There you\u2019ll find a string named \u201cDHCP\u201d. Change its value to \u201cAfd\u201d. Delete anything specified earlier. Save it and restart your PC.<\/span><\/p>\n

Set Print Spooler Settings<\/b><\/h3>\n

To modify the configurations of Print Spooler service: <\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • First stop it from using \u201cnet stop spooler\u201d command; <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Now change the required setting with another command \u201csc config spooler depend= RPCSS\u201d; and<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Restart it using \u201cnet start spooler\u201d command. Reboot.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Start Essential Services<\/b><\/h3>\n

    Use the <\/span>Services<\/span><\/i> tool. Configure these services with their startup types:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Base Filtering Engine: Automatic<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Network Connections: Manual<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Start the services listed below:<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Application Layer Gateway Service<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Network Connections<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Network Location Awareness<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Plug and Play<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Remote Access Auto Connection Manager<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Remote Access Connection Manager<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Remote Procedure Call (RPC)<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Telephony<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Delete WMI Folder<\/b><\/h3>\n

      After logging in from an Administrator account, set required read, write and access permissions for \u201cWindows\u201d folder. Go to this directory and delete a subfolder named \u201cWMI\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Safe Mode<\/b><\/h3>\n

      Boot your computer in the Safe Mode. (Hey, don\u2019t do it improperly. Use a proper way of configuring Boot tab settings in the <\/span>MSCONFIG<\/span><\/i> tool). That way you\u2019ll not be able to load any conflicting application\/process that creates hurdles.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Re-enable Network Adapter<\/b><\/h3>\n

      Go to the Network and Sharing Center. It\u2019s under Network and Internet page of the Control Panel. Find this category: <\/span>View your active active networks<\/i><\/b>. This category enlists all your active connections. Disable the active network adapter. Now restart your PC and re-enable.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Update Network Adapter<\/b><\/h3>\n

      Expand top node in Device Manager > Network Adapter. Right click your active adapter. Select it to start the wizard. That wizard lets you update your network adapter. Here you go!
