Read on. This article contains several useful steps for you to get rid of Error 1068.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><b>Modify Registry<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Use the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">RegEdit <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">command. Expand the \u201cDHCP\u201d subkey in SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE hivey. There you\u2019ll find a string named \u201cDHCP\u201d. Change its value to \u201cAfd\u201d. Delete anything specified earlier. Save it and restart your PC.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Set Print Spooler Settings<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To modify the configurations of Print Spooler service: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">First stop it from using \u201cnet stop spooler\u201d command; <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now change the required setting with another command \u201csc config spooler depend= RPCSS\u201d; and<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Restart it using \u201cnet start spooler\u201d command. Reboot.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Start Essential Services<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Use the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Services<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> tool. Configure these services with their startup types:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Base Filtering Engine: Automatic<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Network Connections: Manual<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Start the services listed below:<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Application Layer Gateway Service<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Network Connections<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Network Location Awareness<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Plug and Play<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Remote Access Auto Connection Manager<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Remote Access Connection Manager<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Remote Procedure Call (RPC)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Telephony<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Delete WMI Folder<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After logging in from an Administrator account, set required read, write and access permissions for \u201cWindows\u201d folder. Go to this directory and delete a subfolder named \u201cWMI\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Safe Mode<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Boot your computer in the Safe Mode. (Hey, don\u2019t do it improperly. Use a proper way of configuring Boot tab settings in the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">MSCONFIG<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> tool). That way you\u2019ll not be able to load any conflicting application\/process that creates hurdles.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Re-enable Network Adapter<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Go to the Network and Sharing Center. It\u2019s under Network and Internet page of the Control Panel. Find this category: <\/span><b><i>View your active active networks<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. This category enlists all your active connections. Disable the active network adapter. Now restart your PC and re-enable.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Update Network Adapter<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Expand top node in Device Manager &gt; Network Adapter. Right click your active adapter. Select it to start the wizard. That wizard lets you update your network adapter. Here you go!
