                  The user\u2019s computer settings determine the default folder to be used during the file extraction. As a general rule, when files other than self-extracting archives are opened, <\/span>WinZip<\/b> names the default folder which can be easily renamed by the user. When the user leaves the default folder unaltered, or chooses a custom folder and clicks on the <\/span>Extract<\/b> button, all the files are extracted to the selected folder.<\/span><\/p>\n

                  4. You have another dialog on your screen named <\/span>System Properties<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
                  5. Click the <\/span>Advanced<\/b> tab and then <\/span>Environment Variables<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
                  6. In the subsequent dialogue that opens, check the values of <\/span>TEMP<\/b> and <\/span>TMP<\/b> items under the <\/span>User Variables<\/b> section.<\/span><\/li>\n

                    Deleting WinZip Extracted Temporary Files<\/b><\/h2>\n

                      MRU<\/b> stands for <\/span>Most Recently Used<\/b>. <\/span>WinZip<\/b> stores <\/span>MRU<\/b>s to provide quick access to the user’s favorites and recent files. All this data is stored in the <\/span>System Registry<\/b>, a complex database accessed by <\/span>Windows<\/b> and installed applications time to time on a periodic basis.
