Windows 11 Remove Bloat

Bloatware is unwanted junk pre-installed on your computer, smartphone or tablet. Bloatware can waste a significant portion of your disk space. It can run in the background, consume network bandwidth, system resources, and slow down your computer. Your Start Menu will look cluttered with so many program entries.Bloatware not only causes storage, performance and appearance issues, it can make your computer vulnerable to the latest security threats. Any vulnerabilities with the bloatware can be a cause of concern for the protection of your computer and personal data.

Most PC manufacturers get paid by the software companies for installation of bloatware. A bloatware typically includes a trial version of a utility software, system protection software, or any other program you may not need.

How to Uninstall Bloatware in Windows 11?

The actual method to uninstall a bloatware will depend on the nature of the bloatware. For example: A bloatware application can be uninstalled from the Settings page. A bloatware extension can be uninstalled from your browser’s Extensions dialog. If none of these steps help, there are other ways as well.

Things to Keep in Mind…

Not every pre-installed program is bloatware. Before uninstalling a program, make sure that you really don’t need it. It is always a good idea to search for the name of the program in Google when in confusion.
